Complete Musher Experience
Experience an unforgettable husky sledding adventure in the breathtaking winter scenery of Sulitjelma. As you arrive, a cozy campfire welcomes you with the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee made over the fire, setting the stage for a day filled with excitement and wonder.
Your adventure Through Beautiful Mountain Scenery
The husky sledding journey covers approximately 4 kilometers through Sulitjelma's breathtaking mountain terrain as part of a two-hour, all-inklusive experience. Accompanied by your guide, you will travel along picturesque trails, through forests, valleys, and lakes. Making several stops at idyllic spots perfect for photos. The guide takes 2–3 guests at a time on a large sled, making this a close and personal experience, while the rest wait for their turn around the campfire or in our Storgamme (large traditional Sami tent). During the tour, guests take turns driving the dog sled team together with the guide, ensuring everyone has a hands-on experience while feeling safe and supported. These shared moments make the adventure memorable and accessible for all participants.
Unique Bonding Moments
Our tours offer a unique opportunity to bond with these incredible animals. After the exhilarating ride, guests can spend quality time cuddling with the huskies, helping to remove their harnesses, and feeding them together.
Briefing, History & Guided Experience
Before your husky sledding adventure begins, our experienced instructors will provide a thorough safety briefing to ensure everyone feels comfortable, confident, and ready for the journey ahead. Once you're prepared, you'll have the opportunity to learn how to steer a sled and manage a team of 8–10 spirited Siberian huskies together with your guide. In addition the guide will share fascinating stories about the origins of Siberian huskies and the tradition of sled dogs. You will learn how these remarkable animals were originally bred by the Chukchi people of Siberia for endurance and teamwork in harsh Arctic conditions. The guide will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the huskies.
